Terms & Conditions

Definitions

  • Organisers – Sunshine Coast Malayalee Association (SMA)
  • Applicant – A person who has applied for the contest and/or has been selected for pre-selection auditions.
  • Finalist/Contestant – An applicant who has been selected as a finalist for Miss Kerala Australia.
  • Contest – Miss Kerala Australia 2025 (MKA 2025)
  • Audition/Rehearsal – Talent auditions, talent submissions online, interviews, or practice sessions held after the application.

Rules & Regulations

  1. All applicants must meet the Eligibility Criteria:
    • Age limit: 16+ as of August 22nd, 2025, regardless of marital status.
    • If you are under 18 as of the 22nd of August, parental consent form signed by parent/ guardian must be submitted on the day of the event.
    • Kerala origin (contestant must have a connection to Kerala for example: at least one parent/grandparent must be of Malayalee descent).
    • Must be residing in Australia.
  2. All Applications must include:
    • A completed Entry Registration Form.
    • Proof of Age: Copies of one of the following – Current Driver’s Licence, Passport, or Birth Certificate.
    • Three photographs: Head & Shoulder shot, Mid Shot, and Full-Length Shot (must be clear and focused, not necessarily professional).
    • Portfolio: One-minute portfolio video.
  3. Based on the registration details, the organisers will notify the applicant for the interview/audition.
  4. Applicants selected through registration may have to undergo further online auditions and an online grooming program.
  5. The Organisers will contact applicants for auditions via email and/or phone.
  6. All selected applicants must attend the mandatory online grooming sessions; failure to comply may lead to disqualification.
  7. SMA/MKA2025 has the permission to use applicants’ photographs, audio, and video on the website and social media without further approval.
  8. All practice sessions will be conducted online. Physical grooming for selected contestants will take place on August 22nd morning. Contestants must report an hour before the scheduled session.
  9. The decision of the judges, once tabulated, is final. The organisers bear no responsibility for the judges’ decisions or prize awarding.
  10. Participants accept full responsibility and acknowledge risks related to the contest. SMA/MKA2025 is not liable for any injuries, damages, thefts, losses, or costs during the event.
  11. SMA/MKA2025 is not responsible for contestants’ lodging and boarding.
  12. SMA/MKA2025 is not responsible for delays or non-receipt of applications for any reason.
  13. Incorrect information submitted will result in disqualification.
  14. Schedule of events and qualification auditions are subject to change at SMA/MKA2025’s discretion.
  15. The organisers are not responsible for returning photos, videos, or supporting documents. Audition/rehearsal content remains the property of the organisers.
  16. In case of any dispute, SMA/MKA2025’s decision is final and binding on the contestant.
  17. SMA/MKA2025 reserves the right to change the Eligibility Criteria and Rules & Regulations without notice. They also retain the right to alter the contest format at their discretion.
