The Sunshine Coast Malayalee Association (SMA) was founded in 2015 with the mission to uphold and promote the vibrant cultural heritage of Keralites, originating from the southern part of India. Kerala, often referred to as "God’s Own Country," is renowned for its rich history, diverse traditions, and cultural influences that have shaped its unique identity over the centuries.

At SMA, we embrace and celebrate the values of secularism, brotherhood, and cultural heritage, providing a warm and welcoming space for the Malayalee community on the Sunshine Coast. Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging among our members and ensure that future generations understand and appreciate the deep cultural roots and values of Kerala.
